Carrie earned undergraduate degrees in English and Spanish from the University of Mississippi before pursuing a career in nursing. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing in 2006, where she graduated magna cum laude and was inducted into Sigma Theta Tau Honor Society. She worked as an Emergency/Trauma, Psychiatric ER, and ICU RN before deciding to pursue her Master’s Degree to become a Nurse Practitioner. While in graduate school, she served as a student provider for several medical missions in Guatemala, where she ultimately returned to research her master’s thesis. As a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, Carrie has focused her practice in General Psychiatry since 2012. She enjoys seeing adults ages 18+ for medication management.
